Housing Counseling

Homebuyer Education Class:

Shalom Center provides 8hr homebuyer education through a partnership with local entities to help homebuyers take a comprehensive look at the home buying process and home ownership responsibilities. Applicants seeking down payment and closing cost financing are required to attend Homebuyer Education prior to loan closing.

Pre-Purchase Counseling:

Our housing counselors will sit down with you to work through and evaluate the home buying process and ensure that you understand the mortgage lending process and the financial commitment you are about to undertake.

Post-Purchase Counseling:

Shalom Center appears to be well-positioned to pursue the goal of using post-purchase support programs to reduce the incidence of mortgage foreclosures.

Foreclosure Prevention Counseling:

A housing counselor will work with you, examining your financial situation, and offer guidance on how best to avoid default or foreclosure. Working together you will explore different ways to resolve your mortgage situation and help keep your part of the American Dream.

Credit Counseling:

Our certified credit Counselors will advise you on managing your money; offer solutions to your current financial problems; develop a personalized plan to help you prevent future difficulties.

Referral Service:

Shalom center provides referral services to individuals with housing and human service information that is delivered in a manner which meets personal and collective needs.
